Kitchen & Countertop Center of New England to Exhibit at Northern RI Home Show at Twin River
In November, CFM Stone and Solid Surface worked with a company from Syracuse plus 2,000 volunteers to help construct a new home for a Geneva, N.Y., family on the ABC-TV series "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."
On Feb. 24, CFM opened a new "granite gallery" showcasing bathroom displays, a wall of granite, fireplaces, kitchens and more on Transit Road in the plaza next to Frog Hair Grille and Golf.
In addition, the kitchen designed for "Extreme Makeover" will be featured at the new gallery after the display visits the Buffalo Home Show from Feb. 28 to March 8 and the Rochester Home Show at the end of March, where it is set to be a main attraction at the event.
CFM's existing shop, which handles many of the company's larger projects, is located at 655 River Road, North Tonawanda. Its past clients include Yale University, Ralph Wilson Stadium and Forts Drum and Benning.
The new gallery location will focus on serving residential needs as opposed to large commercial projects.
Al Bluemle, the owner and a resident of Williamsville, thinks the new building will attract more residential clients looking to freshen up their homes, perhaps through a new countertop or maybe even a new sink. to complement the kitchen.
Bluemle, who was born and raised in Western New York, has always wanted to keep his businesses here to help the Buffalo area's economy, said marketing director Theresa Linenfelser.
In addition to the CFM locations, Bluemle owns Frog Hair Grille and Golf at 7800 Transit Road, as well as Rave Incorporate and Jaco Custom Grinding, both located in North Tonawanda.
CFM's shop in North Tonawanda primarily sells quartz, Corian and Zodiaq for commercial use for those larger projects.
The granite wall at the new location will offer a cost-effective substitute for some of the more expensive materials, such as Corian, for residential fabrication and installation.
A certified interior designer will be on staff and available for home visits to offer advice and formulate a plan, which Linenfelser said helps differentiate CFM from competitors.
"We want to make everyone understand the process and take it to the next level," said Linenfelser, who noted that CFM's high-tech machines lead to a more precise cut and faster turnover times.
A special promotion will be offered during the grand opening, which will include a free Corian cutting board with a free estimate. Also, any job ordered during the grand opening will receive free installation for kitchens.
